Meet Heather Snow

You know you live in a small town when, as Bob's on the Rocks owner Heather Snow puts it, "I can go to the recycle depot, fill up with gas, visit Bobs on the Rocks, pick up bait, deliver it, grab coffee and get to work at my full time job at the hospital, all in 52 minutes!" She has the routine down to an art, but it applies to just about any daily routine in Prince Rupert. With everything located in close proximity, there is no commute and no traffic, leaving time for the more important things in life. For Heather, it is spending time outdoors with her son, sitting around their backyard firepit, or watching eagles, seals and other wildlife from the docks. For many of her clients, it means more time for fishing.

However, there is much more to Prince Rupert than that. Heather is grateful for the people who make up the community. They are friendly, caring and willing to take time out for each other which helps to make it a safe community and a wonderful place to raise children. The feeling of security that comes from being able to know your neighbours with relative ease is something priceless.

Heather has operated her business since 2004. Since that time, she has seen some ups and downs in the business community. However, she is excited at the new growth that has taken place recently and feels that Prince Rupert is on an upswing. She attributes this in part, to the way local business owners have committed to work together and support one another in an effort to make business better for everyone.
