Raven’s Professional Piercing & Permanent Makeup

Raven Grauman had hit a point in her career where she knew that she needed to make a radical change. She had long had an interest in beauty and body modification so in 2005 she decided to get a certificate in body piercing. She also trained as a permanent makeup tattooist. Once she had those certifications under her belt, she felt it was time to pursue her dream of operating her own business. After working with Hecate Strait Small Business Development, she opened Raven's Professional Piercing & Permanent Makeup in 2009.

Raven is highly committed to hygiene, safety and excellence in customer service. She takes extra care when she works with youngsters, making sure they are comfortable and that pain is minimized in their procedure. Parents are especially appreciative of the after-care that she offers.

Raven has lived in Prince Rupert on and off for years. After her training, she knew that she wanted to operate her business in her hometown. "It's like a big family here," she says. It provides a sense of comfort and security to live in a place like Prince Rupert. Plus, there are so many things to do. Raven particularly enjoys going for walks on the Butze Rapids Trail. She also likes participating in the many community events and activities that go on here throughout the year.
