Meet Glen Saunders
A decade ago, there weren’t many places locally where women could shop for high quality, designer accessories and clothing. Glen Saunders decided to fill this niche and opened Udderbags in 2007. It started out as a handbag and accessories store. It was so well-received that within a few years, Glen added women’s clothing.
Store manager Connie Jack has been with the store almost since the beginning, and it’s her face customers see most days when they stop in to shop. Connie is passionate about fashion and feels privileged to serve the women of Prince Rupert and be a part of bringing quality clothing and accessories to Prince Rupert that previously weren’t available here. She and co-worker Casey Humphries do a lot of the buying for the store, and they have the freedom to bring in products and lines that they know local women want. Besides getting to help dress women up, one of Connie’s favourite parts of the job is receiving shipments of new product. “It’s like Christmas every day!” she says.
Glen Saunders owns a number of businesses in several small towns throughout northwest BC, including Flying Fish in Terrace. Glen has a passion for small towns and actively looks for opportunities to bring in products that aren’t already available locally. He is also committed to creating not just a business or store but a shopping experience.
